I certainly felt welcome and at home here, despite being stuffed into my heavy ski jacket and mufflers amid chic and sophisticated people here in Oslo. Walking the town, I discovered: Munch; icy crunchy coastal waters; graveyards; Grunland neighborhood and falafels; squatter communities with avant garde music; art bars; Folk museums; Rekord gallery; the Fretex chain (yes, I found the Salvation Army of Norway!) and a bevy of sweet, witty, charming people. Hello to Aleksi, Narve, Huy and Line!
